If you can’t pronounce my name its ok, just call me Iggy and we can get started!  I have lived in Colorado Springs since 1995 and have quite literally grown up together with this town.  It is an honor to be able to share with you my knowledge and experience of living in the Springs through real estate.

I was born and raised in Gillette, Wyoming, and lived there for 21 years. I moved to Colorado Springs in 2004 to attend and graduate from Sign Language Interpreter School. I continued on and got a degree in Criminology and a Paralegal Certificate. I love learning. Real Estate has always been an interesting field, too. I enjoy helping others and matching them to their specific goals, so I got my real estate license in 2016.

I am here to help those looking to buy, sell, invest, or rent in the Colorado Springs and surrounding areas to find their dream homes. I will work hard to provide a non-stressful positive environment. I can help not only people in Colorado, but I can help those outside of Colorado partner with the perfect person to help them find a home.

Eric Councill was born in Tampa Florida and raised by his Grandmother “Oma” through his formative years. Oma just happened to own and run her own all women’s Real Estate brokerage through the 80’s and 90’s which should have been foreshadowing Eric would have seen. Instead he pursued an engineering degree at the University of South Florida. While working two jobs and taking an entire course load, he eventually realized this wasn’t his path as he loved human interaction too much. With almost a decade of serving tables already under his belt, he figured what could get more intimate than that, and decided to do two years of door to door sales in the North East in New York and Connecticut to quench that thirst. While door to door is not for the faint of heart, Eric is known for saying he learned more in those two years than he did in Six at Uni, and Ten serving tables, and it opened his eyes to the world of sales. While he was a top producer in his office, he never liked the process of the “pitch” and convincing someone to buy something they didn’t wake up knowing they wanted. Que his evolution back to Real Estate, where everyone knows what they want, and he can simply be the guide… or as he says “hold your hand and make sure you don’t do anything stupid”. He believes in the golden rule in business, and treating his clients how he would want to be treated if the roles were reversed, and his business being entirely referral based by year three he believes is a testament to his ability to do just that.

Outside of real estate Eric loves anything with an engine and wheels, and drives multiple events in and out of state drifting his 240sx. Prior to getting his Real Estate license there was never a time he didn’t work multiple jobs and for two years while still serving he was also a custom fabricator building turbo manifolds for corvettes and mustangs. Eric attempts to do one big road trip every year, and has driven a silly car from Colorado to Key West, LA, Oregon, and even into Canada. He is Married to his beautiful and extremely intelligent Wife and they are expecting their first child 2025.
